From Afar

I met Levi about 10 years ago. & There’s a particular Sunday morning at church I remember.

I saw him from afar. Faded jeans. Yellow button up. Sleeves rolled.

Moments later, my mom asked: “did you see the new guy? He looks about your age?!”

Still looking, “Yes. I did”.

Naturally, I introduced myself. Standing before him, I looked up & paused. “He looks like the epitome of what I would marry one day”, I thought.

Our story from there is imperfectly perfect.

About 5 years ago, I saw him from afar. In the same church. Walking down the aisle, I greeted him as a bride.

At the same church yesterday, I saw him from afar. Holding our daughter.

“Hey Levi, lets take a picture.”
